Handel and Douglas County Juvenile Assessment Center (JAC) began implementing RiteTrack immediately after final agreements that RiteTrack would be the best solution for Douglas County, Nebraska, serving the Omaha area.
The Douglas County JAC administers standardized assessment instruments to juveniles and using the results from those assessments along with consideration of the individual's personal circumstances, develops recommendations for services. Upon approval for the proposed diversion case plan by the County Attorney, the JAC then utilizes a network of service providers throughout the community to fulfill each juvenile's needs for treatment, rehabilitation and supervision.
The collaboration between the County Attorney, Juvenile Court, Juvenile Assessment Center and service providers has worked to positively impact the lives of juveniles and divert them from reoffending. Kim Culp, director of the Douglas County JAC provides her views: "We are very excited to be working with Handel Information Technologies and the RiteTrack system. After looking at various systems, we chose RiteTrack because it most closely meets our case management needs. The ability to customize the system was a major plus. Josh Becker has been outstanding. He is very patient with 'non-tech' people and very quickly understands our needs and communicates viable solutions."
