An American Indian Tribe, the Louisiana Department of Revenue and the Wyoming Department of Health are joining the RiteTrack family.
Handel Information Technologies had the amazing opportunity to welcome three new customers in three weeks! Handel is pleased to welcome the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, the State of Louisiana Department of Revenue and the Wyoming Telepsychiatry Project to our family of RiteTrack customers.
The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community (KBIC) has chosen to implement RiteTrack to manage their tribal information. The system will include capabilities to manage enrollment, Title IV-E, social services cases, the tribal police, voting and hunting/fishing licenses—all which will have offline access.
KBIC first approached Handel Information Technologies about implementing RiteTrack at the 2009 TribalNet Conference. The TribalNet Conference is utilized by tribes around the country to help educate them so they can make well-informed decisions in technology through education and exposure to tribally-related technology.
The KBIC is one of the 6 grantees for the recent IV-E planning and implementation grants. They are already providing these services and will be enhancing them through their grant.
The State of Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) contacted us because an employee who used to work for another company that utilized RiteTrack was tasked with finding an information management system that could integrate multiple aspects of the LDR system they needed tied together. And she knew just who to call—Handel.
The department that requested RiteTrack is known as the Audit Protest Bureau (APB). The APB is an independent unit which provides a forum to resolve tax audit disputes without resorting to litigation. APB researches case facts, resolves issues and renders a written determination.
The Wyoming Telepsychiatry Project (WTP) was developed as the result of a bill passed by the Wyoming Legislature giving the Wyoming Department of Health's rural health office the authority to work with other states and organizations to lay the groundwork for more telehealth exchange.
The Wyoming Telepsychiatry Project’s goal is to link hospitals in Sheridan, Casper, and Cheyenne for behavioral health telemedicine. This rapidly developing application of clinical medicine bumps up telemedicine one more notch to have the ability to share medical information through interactive audiovisual media for the purpose of consulting, and sometimes remote medical procedures or examinations. What excites many health experts is the prospect of a nationwide telehealth network that would allow a Wyoming patient to be treated by the country's finest hospitals without buying a plane ticket.
All these systems may seem very different, but that is the beauty of RiteTrack—it can be quickly and easily configured to meet the needs of any market out there, in any region, for any outcome.
