The RiteTrack Administrator is the tool used by power users, network administrators or identified information technology staff to manage RiteTrack user accounts and system parameters. The RiteTrack Administrator provides a simple and intuitive interface to manage:
- users,
- passwords,
- security groups,
- licensing and
- access logs.
User permissions and accessibility are a primary function of the Administrator. User passwords are set and reset here. User accounts may be activated and deactivated, user accounts can also be locked through the Administrator. If a user account is locked due to failed attempted logins the account may also be unlocked from here. Users can be required to change their password upon login when accounts are created or reset. Users are added to security groups and assigned access licenses through the User interface.
Security Groups are listed in the Adminstrator along with the Users that are members of each group. Security Groups define read, add, edit and delete permissions for screens and forms in RiteTrack. Field-level may be also be applied through Security Groups. Scripted criteria-based security settings can be defined and applied to Groups as well. Groups can also define access to reports, toolbar buttons, right-click functionality and tree views. A user may be a member of more than one Security Group.
RiteTrack is designed for enterprise-level information management, and one of the ways this is implemented is through System Organizations. System Organizations in RiteTrack are those organizations, agencies or programs that have users of RiteTrack. Each of these System Organizations may have differing security access and additional specific settings managed through the RiteTrack Administrator. System Organizations are defined, the SQL Reporting Server path is set and the default inactivity logout minutes are set in the Administrator. Different system licenses for System Organizations are defined here as well.
Users sessions, connections to RiteTrack, can be viewed through the Administrator. Information displayed about user sessions includes the user, the time the user logged in, the user’s last access to RiteTrack and the duration of the current session. In order to perform RiteTrack or server updates or maintenance user sessions may be ended through this interface as well. There is also an area for a customized administrative dashboard. This dashboard can be configured to show usage trends, data statistics and any other information important for administrators of RiteTrack to have at their fingertips, in real-time, all the time.
