Staff at Handel Participate in the "Jackalope Jump" to Raise Money for the Special Olympics!
Saturday, March 04, 2006 (658 reads)

The Jackalope Jump 2006, which raised money for the Special Olympics, was a big success and Handel staff was a part of it for the first time ever! In its second year, this fundraiser raised over $12,000 or twice of what it did last year. Fot the Jackalope Jump, teams had to jump into Huck Finn Pond, located in the Laramie, Wyoming valley, to earn pledge money. If you have ever been in a lake in Wyoming during the winter (yes March is still winter in Wyoming) you will know how freezingly unpleasant this effort would be! Neverless the Handel team was there in full force with five employees including our President, Even Brande, making a jump for the cause! Actually it was great fun and we hope to be a part of it again next year. For more information and pictures, please visit the "Community Service" page on our web site under "About Us."

Handel Exhibits at the 2006 CWLA National Conference
Thursday, March 02, 2006 (666 reads)

Tara Kaysen and Joscelyn Herzberg in our marketing department here at Handel exhibited at the recent Children 2006: Securing Brigter Futures Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) National Conference at the Wardman Park Marriott in Washington D.C. February 26th – March 1st. The two met, talked about and showed RiteTrack to child welfare professionals from around the country. There is a great need for RiteTrack in the child welfare realm! It was an exciting conference where attendees had the opportunity to learn more in order to better address the well-being of children, bridge the gap between equality and strengthen their abilities to serve the youth. This was Handel's fourth time at CWLA's National Conference and as always it was a great privilege to be there and we met many friendly and well-meaning people!

Salvation Army Correctional Services to Implement RiteTrack in Clay County, Florida
Wednesday, March 01, 2006 (632 reads)

We are so pleased to announce that the Salvation Army Correctional Services (SACS) has chosen to implement a pilot of RiteTrack in Clay County, Florida! SACS' mission is to provide effective programming to the criminal justice community so that they may guide offenders in their endeavors to satisfy spiritual, emotional and physical needs. SACS contracts with multiple Florida counties providing misdemeanor programs giving participants the best opportunities to make changes in their lives. Local needs are assessed in developing these programs, and The Salvation Army Correctional Services constantly strives to work with the judges of each county to determine what services can be provided. Part of SACS' efforts in Florida include providing case management for misdemeanor probationers, which in Clay County, RiteTrack will help facilitate for them. RiteTrack will also help SACS track appointments and the conditions of probation for the probationers, including non-monetary (i.e.community service, victim impact classes, DUI classes) and monetary conditions. RiteTrack will receive payments, produce receipts for fees paid, produce account statements, and track money that is transferred back to court to cover court costs. One of the goals in using RiteTrack is also to provide an electronic link between SACS and the courts - so courts can get real-time information on probationers from RiteTrack and SACS can look up information in the system while in court to be able to better answer judges inquiries. We are excited to work with SACS and to be able to implement RiteTrack in an adult probation setting!

RiteTrack Users' Group Web Page Launched
Friday, December 30, 2005 (642 reads)

At the 2005 RiteTrack Conference we had our very first meeting ever of the RiteTrack Users' Group (R.U.G.), a group made up of Handel customers and RiteTrack users from all around the country. The goals of R.U.G. are to facilitate a forum for RiteTrack users to share information about using RiteTrack, for Handel to receive feedback from customers and RiteTrack users about RiteTrack feature and functionality development, and to create a group for RiteTrack users around the country to belong to and network within. We have just launched a R.U.G. web page on the Handel web site that will allow for posting messages to other members, interacting with Handel staff, searching for answers to questions in past message postings, and document sharing. If you are a Handel customer and/or a RiteTrack user and are interested in joining R.U.G. please call us at 877-742-5554 to set up your access to the R.U.G. web page.
