In February 2008, three member of Handel’s Deployment Team joint with member of the Central Council of Tlingit Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska in Juneau, Alaska for training on the new additions to their RiteTrack system. The two new areas were for Employment and Training. CCTHITA helps their enrolled members with vocational training as well as any other kind of training (GED, HS Diploma, college, secondary schooling, etc) that may help members develop in current or new careers. The employment part assists individuals finding and securing employment in the areas in which the members are trained. Every time CCTHITA and Handel unveil a new module, we all get very excited and appreciate not only the time and work saved for CCTHITA employees, but for the lives of many that can be helped through RiteTrack.

The new 2008 Products and Services Guide is finished and ready to present Handel’s most up to date offerings. Our products have new features and capabilities along with new functionalities, which we try and tabulate annually, although it is impossible to summarize them all. From October 28th through October 30th, Handel hosted the 5th Annual RiteTrack Conference in Santa Fe, NM. RiteTrack users from Florida all the way up to Alaska joined Handel staff for three days of everything RiteTrack. Many users opted to take the technically demanding configuration track, where users learned to configure their own implementations of RiteTrack. Along with other intermediate and basic training, there were industry relevant presentations on HIPAA and Health Level 7. Employees and Attendees alike were able to relax before and after sessions at the magnificent La Posada Resort, which also catered the meals and snacks, many of which were served outdoors with the beautiful Southwestern fall weather. There was definitely something for everybody at this year’s conference, even an outing for a scenic walking ghost tour of Santa Fe. How will Handel improve upon this year’s conference?
