Handel Hosts the June 2007 Laramie Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours

On Thursday June 7th, Handel IT will be hosting the Laramie Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours. The Business After Hours series takes place monthly at local businesses as a fantastic forum to let others learn about what their business does. It is an excellent opportunity to network with other businesses and community members and help foster relations to maintain Laramie’s thriving business community. This will be the first Business After Hours Handel has hosted since its recent massive office expansion. The Business After Hours at Handel IT will be from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM. Montana Board of Crime Control & Cascade County Juvenile Detention Centers Goes Live With RiteTrack

In March of 2007, the first phase of the Montana Board of Crime Control & Cascade County Juvenile Detention Centers went live with RiteTrack for their Juvenile Detention Record System. After training is complete in April for the case management part of the system, the rest of the agencies will go live. The Montana agencies are using RiteTrack not only to fulfill federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention compliance, but several agencies will use it to track internal information for intake, assessments, incident reporting and general juvenile monitoring. Handel’s RiteTrack is giving Montana the technology tools it needs to achieve its vision of better individual and facility management of juvenile offenders.

Louisiana Youth Enhanced Services Goes Live With RiteTrack

Louisiana Youth Enhanced Services (LA-YES) went live with their Ritetrack system on March 8th. LA-YES is System of Care that was developed to help children with behavioral and emotional disorders get the care that they need so they can have happier and healthier relationships with their families, school and communities. The Central Pacific Team Wins the Golden Spike

In January 2006, Handel divided itself into two teams, each having 50% of each department. The teams represented the Union Pacific and the Central Pacific railroads on a new model railroad scaled to match the historic building of the transcontinental railroad of the 1860’s. Track, towns, and engineering feats such as tunnels and bridges represented real life challenges in RiteTrack development projects, RiteTrack implementation, sales, operations and every other part of Handel that drives Handel’s success. In the end, each team was successful in completing its goals. However, the Central Pacific Team was able to sustain a lead in the second half of the year, finally winning a cash prize to be distributed as the team feels fit.

Handel Christmas Shopping Spree

The employees of Handel enjoyed a Christmas surprise this holiday season. Without forewarning, besides “bring your running shoes”, the employees of Handel were each given $100 gift certificates valid at the downtown Laramie businesses, where Handel IT is located. The catch was that they had only one hour to spend the money and they could only spend the money on themselves. After the spree, employees sat down to have lunch together, where additional chocolate was awarded for speed, the greatest idea, and overall “geekyness” of purchases.
