Jamapalooza Goes to Nashville
Nashville, November 13, 2019
For the sixth time, Handel hosted a jam session at the TribalNet Conference. This year, TribalNet took place at the Opryland Resort in Nashville. This is the first time TribalNet has been held in the state of Tennessee. The stage was set up in the Crystal Gazebo, just down the hall from where 650 AM WSM, the most famous country radio station in the world broadcasts. As luck would have it, the conference also coincided with The 53rd Annual Country Music Association Awards, held just down the street at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Given all these vibes, it was hard not to adopt a country music theme this year. Consisting of musician’s usually more adept in other musical genres, it may have been a good thing that most country music fans were not at TribalNet but rather at the Bridgestone Arena that night. Yet, our usually crew, augmented by some newcomers, pulled off passable versions of Johnny Cash’ “Ring of Fire,” Buck Owens “Act Naturally,” and many other country standards.
Thanks again to the TribalNet crew for welcoming us back. We are already looking forward to next year when TribalNet goes to Texas!
