Caddo Nation Child Care Selects RiteTrack to Strengthen Program Management and Reporting
By Tiffany Edmonds
Handel Information Technologies is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Caddo Nation, which has selected RiteTrack to support its Child Care program. The Nation will implement RiteTrack’s Child Care module to help its team manage program information, provider data, reporting, and other day-to-day activities within one centralized system.
Headquartered in Binger, Oklahoma, the Caddo Nation has a citizenship of approximately 8,000. The Nation’s history extends back through the Kadohadacho, Natchitoches, and Hasinai confederacies, with Caddo people maintaining a distinct cultural identity through generations of significant change and displacement. Today, the Nation provides a variety of programs and services for its citizens and community, including its Child Care program.
Caddo Nation Child Care works with community child care providers within its service area and supports a program with a variety of provider, service, and reporting needs. Approximately 10 staff members will use RiteTrack as part of the new implementation.
Making Reporting Easier to Manage
Reporting was one of Caddo Nation Child Care’s primary considerations when evaluating a new system. The program is required to complete the ACF-700, but staff also need to report on many of the same program numbers during quarterly Tribal meetings.
Rather than compiling the same information separately for different reporting needs, RiteTrack will allow staff to work from the program information already being maintained within the system and use specific date ranges when reviewing their data. RiteTrack’s standard Child Care module includes ACF-700 reporting along with tools for tracking applications, eligibility and demographic information, subsidies and co-pays, provider information, payments, documentation, and other program data.
This ability to connect everyday program management with reporting was an important part of what Caddo Nation’s team was looking for in a new solution.
A Strong Fit for the Program’s Needs
Beyond reporting, Caddo Nation Child Care needed a system that could support the information its staff manages every day, including detailed provider information. The program tracks whether providers offer additional services, such as Tribal or Indigenous-focused activities, food, or other services associated with additional funding. Staff also manage provider training and track hours within the program.
These needs aligned well with RiteTrack’s standard Child Care functionality. RiteTrack allows programs to maintain provider information, track services offered by individual providers, manage training and provider hours, maintain documentation, and connect that information with the other data used throughout the Child Care program. For Caddo Nation, that means the same system used for applications, provider management, payments, and day-to-day program activities can also support the information staff need for the ACF-700 and other reporting responsibilities.
By bringing these processes together, Caddo Nation Child Care will be able to manage its program information in one centralized system while reducing the need to maintain or recreate the same data in multiple places.
