Chemehuevi Tribal Court Modernizes Case Management with RiteTrack

Handel Information Technologies is proud to announce its partnership with the Chemehuevi Indian Tribe in their transition from paper-based recordkeeping to RiteTrack’s modern case management solution. By adopting RiteTrack, the Tribe is streamlining manual tasks, improving secure access on and off site, and enhancing the services provided to their community.
Implementation Overview:
The Chemehuevi Tribal Court serves as the Tribe’s judicial branch and provides a forum for a wide range of matters, including child welfare, guardianships, domestic violence, adoptions, housing disputes, and more. Previously relying on mostly paper files, the Court faced challenges in maintaining and accessing accurate information. After reviewing multiple system options, the Tribe selected RiteTrack as the best fit for its current needs and future goals.
With RiteTrack, the Court is replacing handwritten case files and manual processes with a centralized, secure solution designed to safeguard information, generate client-facing documents, and archive Tribal Ordinances for easy reference by judges and attorneys.
Implementation Objectives:
The transition directly addresses common pitfalls of paper systems—difficult-to-read handwritten files, the potential for damage or loss, and the labor-intensive process of manually counting data for reports. RiteTrack will provide staff with organized digital records, automated reporting tools, and mobile access, ensuring case data can be securely retrieved both on and off site.
Court staff are also benefiting from RiteTrack’s Fine/Fee functionality, which streamlines the process of tracking payments and reduces complexity for both staff and clients. Out-of-the-box RiteTrack functionality meets the majority of the Court’s needs, with flexibility to support additional customization in the future.
