Ohkay Owingeh Selects RiteTrack to Improve Tribal Court Case Management

Ohkay Owingeh Tribal Court has selected RiteTrack, developed by Handel Information Technologies, to modernize its court operations, transitioning from paper files and spreadsheets to a centralized, digital case management system.
Implementation Overview:
Previously relying on manual processes, Ohkay Owingeh Tribal Court managed case information through paper records and spreadsheets—creating challenges in maintaining consistency, accessing historical data, and supporting efficient court operations. Through this implementation, the court will transition to RiteTrack’s Tribal Court Module, providing a centralized system to manage cases, participants, and hearings.
As part of the transition, historical case data stored in spreadsheets will be imported into RiteTrack to preserve continuity and improve long-term accessibility.
Due to limited internal IT resources and challenges with third-party support, the court elected to utilize Handel’s hosted deployment option. RiteTrack will be deployed within Lunavi, a private and secure data center, eliminating the need for on-site server management while providing reliable, professionally managed infrastructure.
Implementation Objectives:
The implementation is focused on improving efficiency, data accessibility, and long-term sustainability of court operations. By moving to a centralized system, the court will establish a more consistent approach to managing case information while improving visibility into ongoing activity. Preserving historical data ensures continuity and supports more effective reporting moving forward. In addition, leveraging a hosted deployment reduces reliance on internal or contracted IT resources, allowing the court to maintain a secure and dependable system without the burden of managing infrastructure. Overall, the project is designed to support smoother day-to-day operations and provide a stronger operational foundation.

By implementing RiteTrack, Ohkay Owingeh Tribal Court is taking a meaningful step toward strengthening data management and improving the efficiency of its court operations.
