RiteTrack Selected by St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin to Manage License Plates and Vehicle Tracking
By Tiffany Edmonds
The St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin are strengthening their vehicle registration operations through the implementation of a customized RiteTrack License Plate Tracking System developed by Handel Information Technologies. After relying on a system that had not functioned as intended for several years and offered limited support or flexibility, the Tribe sought a reliable solution that could accurately manage vehicle registrations while adapting to their evolving operational needs.
With RiteTrack, the Tribe will have a secure, web-based system designed to centralize vehicle and owner information, automate administrative processes, and provide the flexibility needed to manage both standard and internal fleet registrations.
Implementation Overview:
The St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin are implementing the RiteTrack License Plate Module to manage people, vehicles, registrations, and related documentation in a centralized system. The platform provides comprehensive person and vehicle management capabilities, allowing staff to track license plates, vehicle ownership, fees, and registration activity in one place.
The Tribe has also chosen to customize the system in order to track Tribal fleet vehicles, record department assignments as vehicles assignments change, and maintain maintenance logs such as oil changes and upcoming service needs. Because RiteTrack is web-based, authorized officers will also be able to access vehicle and registration information securely from laptops in the field, helping them quickly verify records when needed.
Implementation Objectives:
The Tribe’s primary objective in adopting RiteTrack is to establish a dependable and well-supported system for managing vehicle registrations and license plate records. By moving to a modern, web-based platform, staff will be able to maintain accurate records, streamline administrative processes, and ensure vehicle and registration information is consistently organized and accessible.
Another key goal was to create a centralized and organized system for managing vehicle registrations, ownership history, and departmental fleet assignments. By consolidating these processes into one secure system, staff can more easily maintain accurate records, generate reports, and ensure that vehicle and registration data is accessible when needed.
Finally, the Tribe wanted a solution that could extend beyond basic registration tracking to support broader vehicle management needs. Through customization within RiteTrack, the system will help staff monitor fleet assignments, track vehicle maintenance, and maintain detailed documentation on vehicle status—providing greater visibility and accountability across their vehicle management processes.
